I was wondering if anyone is doing this and how it works? And if it does work or is good for the plants, how do you go about making it. Thanks

id guess if you had a way to crush up the product. then mix into a composting situation it would be beneficial.
would probably draw a lot of mice to the area as well.
( not to mention the cats to)
if your talking just clean washed shells from a plant that manufactures a lobster type canned product? then crushing and mixing SOME in the soil could have long range benefits

in either situation you could use a home type wood chipper to crush the shells

'round here long time ago, only the poor kids had lobster sandwiches for lunch and lobsters(shells and parts) were frequently tossed to the garden.I would think you would have to have a good supply to make a difference but the shells would contain calcium? perhaps. Keep in mind lobsters eat sh*t but it is from all the other life in the water. That is good usually.

lobsters have calcium and chitin. Look up chitin on google -wikipedia. Very good for plants

I have had huge crabs & many lobsters We caught off our coast & wondered if there was a way to crush them but could not find any good way ,I was worried if the sharp pieces would cut someone or me if walking or working in patch! They looked too dangerous to use !!!

There are the ghosts of over 1000 lobsters out in my patch with little evidence of their presence. I usually dig a hole about eight inches deep, toss in the lobster shells and chop them up with a sharp shovel. I dig the holes at leaast that deep because of raccoons and dogs that will try to dig them up. I wonder how beneficial this depth is to the plants however. The following year I can always tell when I have hit a burial spot. Typically there is not much left but a reddish tint band in the soil. Larger thicker claws tend to survive for a while and it is not unusual to see a claw in the patch that has somehow surfaced.

That cable show, The Most Dangerous Catch, regularly throws away hundreds of lbs of crab. They can't sell. So, the only way to get rid of them is to dump them outside the harbor! What a waste! Last episode, one boat dumped over 1000lb crab! I thought some of those boats fish from the port of Gloucester. And, it just seems that Neptune's Harvest could take those dead ones and make ferilizer out of them too. Maybe there's a big difference between the two but seems like they're both good for the soil.
