Where do you all purchase/get/obtain your malasses from that you use in your patches? and what type do you get? Sulfered and non-sulfered. And what is the difference if anyone knows?

For soil drenching/foliar feeding the molasses you could get is Grandma's unsulfered molasses from Wal-Mart. Generally used as a foodstuff for teas.

A lot less costly at a feed store than Wally World. I think I paid less than $5 for 3 gallons last year. Peace, Wayne

I called one feed store and they only sell it by the ton! yes, I said a ton! I said to him, that was a little much, I was looking for 3 to 5 gallons. Nevertheless, they couldn't help me. He probably is laughing with all of his buddies after he got off the phone with me.

Always give your business to your local garden center before you go to Walmart. I get mine at a neighborhood natural food store called Mountain Mamma's. I'm not a tree hugger I just think we need to support our local folks.

For Shaker....Rick's Nurs. in C/S has a Dry Molassess which can be sprinkled into back-fill soil, on top and into compost piles, or be scratched into surface soils above root zone of any growing veg, annual or perennial and is a very good food source to activate vitality and reproduction of micro-biological life in that soil medium below. Feed the soil, feed the buggies, and the plant will thank you. (soilmender.com has more info)
