Are these 2 products similar in make up, or very different?

No, d=reeb calcium nitrate is calcium and nitrogen...about 19% calcium and 16% nitrogen. Gypsum is calcium sulfate..with about 25% calcium and 20% sulphur.

Right...At the risk of over simplifying: Cal Nitrate is used mostly to supply plants. Gypsum is more to supply the soil.
