Hey ya'll, I have a question regarding rabbit manure. I have plenty of it, and more being produced everyday, so I think I will use. Anyways, my question is regarding some of the stuff included with the manure. Mostly it is the rabbit pellets that drop out of the feeders. There shouldn't be any weed seeds in them (or at least that can germenate, with all the processing, etc), will it still be okay with the pellets? Some of the piles have straw in them, but not a lot, few wood shavings, but again not a lot to be concerned with. If anyone has any insight as to the pellets being something to stay away from or not, I'd be much appreciative. Thanks, Tim

The pellets ought to break down just like any other compost. I use rabbit manure and am Very happy with the results.

Tim, should work good. Add as much straw in also, great for the garden. Another great use for rabbit turds are a food source for nitecrawlers. I raise worms for bait shops and my crawlers do excellent in my beds with rabbit turds added. If you fish and want some crawlers, dig a small polt and till in some rabbit turds and the crawlers will come for dinner.Steve

Rabbit poop is great fertilizer, very hot though. Make sure you compost it a while before applying to the patch.
