seedlings are just popping through the peat pots. When should i fertilize them? and is a 1/2 dose good. instead of putting 1 tsp.per gallon. Only use 1/2 ? 10-50-10

I don't fertilize until i plant them outside.I'm a bit radical with it but am happy with the results I dig a 4-3ft hole. then I mix well lime peat moss with the soil then mix 2#of0-0-60 muriated potash,2#of 0-46-0triple superphosphate, 1 1/23 of ironite then I Put it back in the hole And bank the excess around the pit. then I add fish emolsion and composted seaweed then I plant a lot of work but effective!!!!!!!! ernie

I also wait until the seedlings are out in the coldframe. Since the weather is so un-predictable I may need to keep the plants in a little longer. Fertilizing them now will only make me have to move them out quicker.

Ironite, isn't that what the Checkons used?

John not sure if the Checkons ude Ironite or not But what ever they use it sure worked
