I have come across some fertilizing rates for pumpkins (it did not say what type of pumpkin) but listed fertilizing rates if your goal was 400 lbs/acre and was wondering how this compared to other growers of AGs
N low soil organic matter level--70lbs/acre med soil organic matter level--50lbs/acre high soil organic matter level-30lbs/acre
P Bray soil test 0-10 -- 200lbs/acre 11-20 -- 150lbs/acre 21-30 -- 100lbs/acre 31-40 -- 75lbs/acre 41-50 -- 50lbs/acre K Soil test in ppm 0-40 -- 200lbs/acre 41-80 -- 150lbs/acre 81-120 --100lbs/acre 121-160 --75lbs/acre 161-200 -- 50lbs/acre
I know most people do not have acre size patches but convert your patch to acres (there are 43,560 square feet in an acre)and and compare your application rates and please share. 2001 will be my first year growing and I am wondering how much I need to fertilzer.
