What is the best mid to late season fertilizer to use? I read in How to Grow World Class Giant Pumpkins 2, that Peter's Plantfood 15-11-29 or Potassium Nitrate 14-0-46 can be used. I can not find these anywhere though. Can someone offer any suggestions? Thanks

Something with an equal analysis through the end of August like:
10-8-8, 20-20-20, etc.

September calls for higher potash such as the potassium nitrate you mentioned. You have a little time to snoop around yet. Try calling local farm suppliers. Arborist or Floraculture suppliers may have the Miller's line of low-salt premium fertilizers. Agro-K offers high quality finishing ferts too.

See my post above. Potassium Sulphate is 0-0-50 and can be found at greenhouse destributors. WH Millikowsi in Stafford, CT sells it as a 25 pound bag.
