I was wondering how much do most people water, I know it varies but with very little rain & a 10.8% om content {thats mine}, do some leave overhead sprinklers on all day, couple hours? I have drip lines running down the center of plants. I hate to over water but I also want to give enough. How many times a week do people water. Any idea how many gallons a week per plant, or inches if prefered. I like to use overhead cause the drip lines only water the center. Just curious how much most water. By the way I use whizzer sprinklers, and run 3 at a time out of a well. I know 62 gallons in 100 sq ft equals 1 inch.

I try to keep moisture levels constant in the patch,,,meaning just that moist,,not wet. As the fruit kick into the growth curve water more,, they need it IMO. The old standard of 1" a week doesn't apply to these freaks once they are growing,, at least from what I saw and did last year.
There is also something to be said about keeping that moisture on the high end to help avoid problems when we get our typical midwest t-storms that dump 2-4" in a short period of time. I use overhead,,know your flow rate and get even coverage,, you can track how many gallons per plant you are getting.
I water in the early mornings,, seems to work pretty well.
I installed misters at the ends of my plants this year they are set on timers and go off for 3 minutes every hour from 10 am till 4 pm.

Here's the #'s I had last year with sandy loam and OM of 6%. During July's 3 week dry spell I was watering 150 gallons/plant per day. This year the OM is 9% and I am monitoring closer.
Like I said, I use strickly overhead, with those soakers down your main you'll have to adjust your thinking or you will have a hard time getting an even application.

The older leaves seem to be dry and the edges are getting little yellow round them, then turnin brown and flakin away. Also brown spots on leaves, looks like older leaves are fallin apart. I have 2 pics in the gallery, there not the best ones I couldnt for some reason put the rest on. The yellow around the edges start out as little spots. Seems to be insect, but dont know.

So then, With the overhead watering does it seem to stay dry underneath the leaves for you? Or is that just not enough water? I'm going to be gone for a full week (OH GOD) and need to have it right!!
