Melnor makes a decent battery operated unit. About $45 at the Home Depot. I prefer regular 24V irrigation clocks but this isn't practical for all situations.

If you are using a misting system with multiple on-off cycles you will need a propagation timer. The one I use is from DripWorkes and is great, set to go on 3 sec. every 2 min. between 10:30 and 5:00. If you are looking for something to automate your watering I use the one Tremor suggested.

I have the Melnor from Home Depot. 7 day programable...you can set start time and duration. With a little creative programing you can set multiple misting times for everyday in addition to normal watering. Works well!

I purchased the Melnor 3060 Deluxe Aqua Timer at Home Depot for $39.99. However, the coupling that goes to the water supply was loose. I e-mailed the company and they advised that their engineering department was fixing the problem with the coupling. Be sure the coupling is on tight if you purchase this model. Good luck!
