DOC, THIS QUESTION IS MAINLY FOR YOU, BUT ANYONE IS MORE THAN WELCOME TO COMMENT. I read your message board from 2004 on coffee grinds and really learned alot.Didnt know it was the worms favorite meal.Question is can I put liquid coffee on my compost pile ? or even pour it directly on a plant?

I would stick with the grounds. We know the critters like them and the compost pile adores them.

The liquid coffe would be missing the organic matter that the worms love. They like to eat, not to big on drinking. The grounds give them something to chew on. They seem to like the texture of the fine grounds compared to the coarse grounds also.

I agree with Lauralie. I don't believe the the liquid coffee would not hurt, but I would definitely drink the coffee and send the grounds to the patch. KathyT

Liquid coffee turns into at least 10% nitrogen if processed and administered to the patch or compost properly. That's called using it all. Organic too. ]:o)
