Jordan, Tom here in Baker City. I'm not an expert by any means but I use Neptunes Harvest fish fertilizer as a drench and foliar feed with a seaweed solution. Check out the garden catalogs. Most of them carry both products. This year I am going to be using some 'granular' fertilizers like 10-50-10, 10-10-10 etc. I've never used granular on my pumpkins before so this will be a first for me. As for water solubles Miracle Grow and Peters seem to work fine. I usually buy Peters because it's a little less in cost but it's the same stuff. Haven't got my fertilizer schedule finalized yet. I seriously started working on it yesterday. Check out Don Langevins' book "How-To-Grow World Class Pumpkins, II". He's got a fertilizing schedule in there that will get you started. Good Luck!

Forgot you wanted to know about a watering system too. I just watered with a hose when I watered ,but i did hace a 50gal barrel with a spigot on it that sat near the plant all summer. I would fill this with water every day. I cut an old hose and rigged it so it would 'drip-irrigate' constantly. When I would come home from work for lunch in the heat of the day I would turn a rainbird on the plant and my wife would turn it off about an hour later. This kept the plant from getting stressed. I concentrated on feeding and watering last year and one thing I learned is that these plants take a lot of water. a lot!
