I want to get away from hand watering, to much time and to much water. My plot is 25 x 50 with well water near by. I want to install a dripline that would run off the spicket but also change to a gravity flow system later. I have looked at the Dripworks catalogue they recommend 1/4 inch soaker dripline but higher output emitters (2 GPH). Their factory tubing contains 1/2 GPH emitters, would this work for gravity flow? Thinking ahead, does anyone have any information on gravity flow systems, past picture posting would be great (I'm a visual learner) I was thinking about elevating two 55 gallon drums, one per plant. Any information would help I feel lost right now.

Yes T-Tape from Dripworks works with gravity between two and ten pounds of pressure. Go back to the Dripworks Catalog for good instructions. They are in there even with drawings. There are two different T-Tapes. I do not think it matters which you would choose.

My water tower is on my 2004 and/or 2005 diary. In about the same place I have shots of T-Tape going in. My tower is four landscaping timbers with two by four braces and two by six top floor. It holds two barrels and could hold four. Gravity pressure is estimated at one pound per two feet...so eight feet plus the barrels is about five pounds of gravity pressure. That will dump to about 1000 sq. ft. without any problems in one hour and twenty minutes. It takes twenty minutes for me to refill the two barrels.
Once you lay out your patch using the catalog as a helper the firm will help you check it out and make a correct order. They ask you to call. Then make the plan your way. Send a copy of the plan to them and then call for review and help. I know of no one who has been displeased when they went into it this way.

Looks like T-Tape is the way to go. I will take your advice doc and give dripworks a call. Your 04 diary was very informative. Thanks
