I have added LOTS of coffee to each future stump location. I am continuing to gather lots of additional coffee but would prefer not to disrupt the cover crop. Can I just stockpile this on the side and then add/locate it when I do the spring till? or does it need to be in the soil for a while prior to planting. Improves the texture of the clay at a minimum but don't want to rob the soil of anything as it breaks down....

After reading the article myself I don't think by stockpiling coffe would hurt it most likely will turn in to a great compost in 6-8 weeks..mark

As you described the application over cover crop I have been adding coffee grounds up to half an inch over all right over the fall cover crop. By the time your cover crop is tilled in the grounds will be nicely on the way to complete conversion. By four or six weeks into the season they will be part of the total causing no harm.

If you have excess they would do well in or on your compost pile. They may also be used along with other mulching materials....on the ground as the patch develops. Again at this point I go light not exceeding a heavy sprinkle over all. They mix nicely with kelp, crab or alfafla meal for second and third light feedings or side dressing. Of course your compost including the grounds would be even better.
