I resently started to read a book that tremor has lead me to, and thanks Steve, the author has writtin 17 books, and is a Phd (,AND IT DEALS WITH SOIL) id like to thank Mr Dwain gipe who's advise i followed, Mr Gipe was absolutely right on all his posts from pesticides to fertilizers, and tilling, and the living soil. So thank you both! And when Tremor, and Docgipe say somthing it would be fruitful to listen up! So thank you both! Roger

Right on Roger, I'll most definitely second that one. Dwaine has been very helpful to me in building a healthy soil and Steve always provides great input on topics as well.

Aw shucks....blushing now. I really did make a bad mistake one evening only to wake up the following day to find I had deducted in error.
What we really need now is for you younger growers to carry forward the messages of good soil building principles forward for others to discover.
I wish you all could see and somehow study what is taking place in this patch I call mine this year. While never perfect it is this year the finest quality soil I have ever had the pleasure to work with. The growing results are being watched with much pleasure. I am pleased this year.

I would like to thank both of these gentlemen, they may not always agree, but they both have a lot of knowledge. I think lots of us are trying to go with more "organic" ways, but when there are a cloud of cucumber beetles, the "seven" may have to be used. I respect both of you, and hope to have the honour of meeting both of you some day.

I see now why alot of HH say they dont fertilize at all, after soil test adjustments of mostly minor elements. Not to say its a bad thing i'm at 80/20 organic now hopefully i'll get to that point, and i will
