I had a great music teacher who was also a great stock broker in his own right. And before he's accept your money to invest for you, he only had the following words of advice. If you can't sleep at night, you have no business putting your money on the market. Because obviously you need it to live on, save for your retirement with, pay for your kids college with, etc. You won't be able to handle the emotional highs and lows and that will make you a bear to live with or be around. I believe the same could be said about not entering a sport, hobby or competition you can't afford to lose in either. It's like I see no difference between a Howden that gains 1/2 aday for 2 months and one that gains 1lb aday for 1 month. The same 30lb pumpkin. Of course, it's a curve, not a straight line. But that formed the basis of my idea for a dry start and weight finish. Especially when growers already have had season ending splits, I'm trying less weight gained over a longer period of time. To avoid that. But at the same time, I can afford to lose to find out. I've invested nothing like the time, effort and expense starting way back in April some growers have.

Come on Marty, get the facts straight yesterday you said it was a short season growing in Eastpointe. I would refer you to the benchmark as a guide tool in understanding the benefits of timely growth. It can help you track past performance only. In that regard it is much like the stock market. Due diligence
