I read on BP about Joel Holland's recommended preparation method, from his 2001 video. Was this a recommendation to new gardeners or existing gardeners who have ammended their soil every year, or just something he does himself? Also, how may this have changed since 2001?
He recommended the following:
16-16-16, 25lbs per 1000 sq ft 0-45-0, 20lbs per 1000 sq ft 15-0-0 calcium nitrate, 8lbs per 20' diameter circle 14-14-14 Osmocote time release fert, 8lbs per 20' diameter circle
My soil test results were posted here and while people helped with conversions to ppm, nobody made any recommendations, and Penn State recommended the typical 75lbs/A of N & 2000lbs of calcitic lime per Acre.
With my soil test results below, would this be A. ok? B. not recommended? C. Off the wall?
Here's the test results:
pH: 7.1
BELOW ARE lbs/A.
P2O5: 1855 K2O : 1320 Mg : 3682 Ca : 18689
LAB RESULTS:
pH: 7.1 using 1:1 soil:water pH P lbs/A: 810 (using Mehlich 3)
Exchange Cations (meq/100g):
Acidity 0.0 K 1.4 Mg 9.2 Ca 33.6 CEC 25.7
% Saturation of the CEC:
K 5.5 Mg 36.0 Ca 58.5
Organic Matter: 36%
Any help appreciated. Thanks.
Mark
P.S. An actual copy of the soil test can be found at:

I'll post this to the Soil Preparation & Analysis forum if nobody answers here in the Fertilizing forum.
