Hello BP members!

If you haven’t heard, I will be handing the Seed Exchange this year. I’m super excited for this opportunity and want to thank all those that have kept this exchange going over the years. This is a long-time tradition on BP, thank you all who have handled the exchange, participated in and donated special seeds in the past!

What is the Exotic seed exchange? Plain and simple It’s a second Christmas for Giant veggie growers. A search on BigPumpkins comes up with multiple threads from years past of generous participants sharing all kinds of cool and interesting seeds.

Like in years past we will be shooting for 40 participants. So please look to put together at min 40 individual seed packets. Please label them as clearly as possible.

Unfortunately, this year we will be limiting participation to the United States only. Last year none of the Canadian packages made it thru.

In an effort to get everyone their seeds before Christmas, I would like to have all incoming packages shipped at min by Dec 1st, please send me any tracking info.

If you have a special seed you would like to donate, please contact me. Like in years past, any special seeds will be randomly dropped in a lucky envelope.

Like in years past I will be contacting a variety of companies to see if I can get some samples added to your packages.

No problem. The flood gates have opened and folks have listed a nice variety of seeds so far. After we hit the half way mark I’ll put out a list of what folks have committed to.

And just like that Ive got packages already arriving. And some really good stuff too. :) There is still plenty of time to dry out some seeds before Dec1st.

I have been replying back to everyone that has emailed within 24hrs or sooner of receiving your email. If you haven't gotten a response from me, please check your spam folders. I have had one individual that this happened too so far.

We are getting closer to the 40 we need. So if you have been on the fence please send me an email with the info requested above. So I can get you on the list.

So far we have an awesome mix of participant seeds, with some former WRs and even a current WR seed that everyone will be getting. I have also received confirmation that Travis Gienger and Cindy Tobeck will be donating some hot seeds that will be randomly put into a lucky envelope.

Dang Paul, you are doing a phenomenal job with this years seed exchange, I encourage anyone to participate, this is a really cool long time tradition. You will be suprised with what you will recieve.

I’ve received more than half of the seeds already, with more confirmed in transit. So keep them coming. If it continues like this I should get them out the second week of December.
