Which clubs have the BEST seed exchanges for their members? I have signed up for a couple of these over the years and been disappointed with what I received; "sloppy seconds" was the best way to describe it. Willing to keep trying though!

Depends a lot from year to year. Sometimes you only know in hindsight. The PGPGA isn’t known as a club with a seed distribution that will blow you away, but I looked through the seeds I received last spring and found a 1686 Stelts in there. You never really know. Just join all of the clubs.

Expecting a Golden Goose from a $20 dollar membership, is asking a lot. You are more likely to find a sleeper that just needed to be planted. I know a few high end seeds that have been included in the seed exchange

I wonder how many people expected the 1885 Werner to do what it did. One thing's for certain, you're not going to find it on the OVGPG seed sale any longer and you probably could have traded for it last year for a song.

LoL @ "sloppy seconds" Kevin, some of our most memorable pumpkins were grown from seeds given to members by our clubs seed distribution packs.
True, the biggest and best are usually auctioned to raise moneies for weighoff prizes. If we have extra seeds we generally give them to growers who ask and send bubbles.
Top seeds are fairly cheap at auction....

GVGO always had great seed packages, not sure if they can still get them across the border though.

Agree, most seeds are "sloppy seconds" but theres often a more promising seed here and there. Any such club pack Ive gotten is fully adequate for hobby growers, at least in terms of pumpkins. Do any club packs offer all the GPC categories??? I think the pgvg packs have included every GPC category except perhaps they've been short on long gourds and maybe marrows.
