Bear with me, it will take a month to get every last detail finalized. For those who know how this works there will be no return shipping charge for you early birds... Send 40 packs of the seeds you want to share:
B. Clayton
7887 US HWY 12
Glenoma, WA 98336
The return shipping will be covered.

This year we will be accepting (and sending out) any Special or Good or Useful Seed that you wish to distribute. I hope this will be a benefit to everyone and help us maintain the distribution of the most UNUSUAL & EXOTIC seeds.

More updates will come as I am able to provide them!

Please feel free to discuss what seeds you are looking for or what you could send. (Hopefully there will be some surprises...It's not necessary to tell-all). Email works too.

Awesome... As for numbers of packs I am shooting as straight as I can, that this will keep our options open but not be an excessive burden. I can pretty much promise that no seeds will go to waste and any extras will possibly help support this website... Not sure on that yet. Yer onto me plan... Should be all fun and good... hope 20-25 growers will participate and I do expect at least 40 packs of seeds to be returned...

Why would you take the burden of return shipping upon yourself? If you have international participants it will be $12-$25 for shipping. For US it is going to be $5-$8. Do you realize what you are volunteering to do?

$5 x 20 is a hundred bucks this wont bankrupt me... Thanks for your concern. Would love to get seeds from Europe... It will be a bigger success if we get some interesting seeds from elsewhere. How bout this: Can everyone who participates votes on what to do with any extra seeds? But meanwhile its one step at a time. There has to be a set number of packs. In the past it was 50, last year it was 35?
Please email ideas or concerns!

Past participants know the routine. It has always required some faith to make it happen.

Sending now makes my job easier. I will assume the shipping address to be the same as the return address, unless you note otherwise. It will be slow getting started but hopefully by the end of the month you will see that this is coming together...

Don't tell me how it was in the past. I started and ran the Giant Veggie Seed Exchange for 13 seasons. I think you are foolish for not requesting return postage, and feel others are questioning your motive?

One last reminder... Especially for new participants: To recieve the best mix of seeds... we cant all send just AG's. AG seeds are welcome but if you wish to particiate please ALSO send a seed that is fun, interesting, exotic, useful, or heirloom... Ask what other growers are looking for or just surprise us...

Thanks to all who are working make this happen!

Shannon... I asked who was up for running it. I also said if I was running it there would likely be some changes... You had your chance bud. If my ideas dont work then yeah you could take over next year! How about you stop raggin on me and contribute your best seeds. You have some good seeds right? So... Share them!

Sounds like an amazing idea. Thanks for arranging this. I am on vacation in Florida at the moment, but live in the UK, so will need to check my stocks, but I think I should be able to contribute some of the following depending on the size of the bubble: I will also need some time to package and print labels.

Heavy Cucumber
Long Chilli
Field Pumpkin (127.3 lb)
Kohlrabi
Aubergine

I havent replied to your email yet Brandon, I am 20 emails behind in response...sorry everyone...thanks for reaching out to me. All I grew this summer was some small tomatoes. I have nothing to contribute to the seed exchange. I hope you can keep it going for about 2 years. In that time, I should have converted enough sand to soil to have some interesting seeds to offer. Kudos for you to keep this going. Organizing anything is a thank-less task. It costs more than than you gain. Growers, if you like the seed exchange...maybe toss in a few dollars to help with the costs of the organization. Losing a few hundred dollars...along with the time really does not make someone want to continue to make things better for all growers.

Too bad. Unfortunately, I saw too late that Europ is allowed again. I would like to share a lot with you all. Pumpkins with over 50 varieties. Chilli and tomatoes with well over 100 varieties. Many old varieties. Some personal records of Marrow and Fieldpumpkins. Now it is too late. Let me know if it is official again in 2020. And yes, Phil and Shannon did a great pioneer job. It has always been a little Christmas when your bubble arrived at my house. And even more, I was happy to grow things, from friends from the other end of the world. A good time for you all!

I saw in your diary that you are looking for marrows. I've got seeds from 6 marrows ranging from 51 to 81#. Not big by European standards, but but they've made 5 or 6 generations now in Alaska ( originally from Dutch Brad). I don't have room for any exotics this year, so I'm not looking for an exchange, but if you want marrows, let me know and I'll get them heading your way.
