I am seeking seeds from the "longest" extra long handle dipper gourd I can get my hands on. I would prefer they come from hand pollinated gourds so I can be relatively sure they are pure seed. I have and am trying to get pure seed from known growers that control the pollination. I have run into many dead ends as most growers are either getting very old and quit or have sold out to bigger seed companies (Quarry Seeds). I want to try to grow the longest ever. I hope someone out there has the passion for these gourds as I do. Thanks for any help I can get. Tim

Thank You for your help Matt. I talked to Glenn Burkhalter in Alabama he said he seen one 8' at a gourd show years back and doesn't remember who the grower was. So an 8'er is the goal or more.

Tjsna, put up a 10 foot tall trellis, start your seed early, keep your plant healthy, you will be surprised what gravity can do.

Seriously, try out Rupp seed I've grown extra long handle dippers from them for years. Haven't been disappointed. Good luck!

Cucurbit- Rupp seeds came yesterday along with some from quarry seeds. I have got to start somewhere. I have structures in place just need the right seed.
