Well heck yes. Some interesting traits coming out of that 2109, so I'll gladly snag that from ya. As for Sherwood, you know I would get my foot stomped on if I jinx his pumpkin, but I can say that he thinks the stem on that baby will make the difference between winning and losing. Now thats one big stem. If my stem alone needed and estimated weight chart, I simply would not know what to do. Wizz, I would have to say that I am so glad the time away from growing helped me get rid of the 'second place' stamp. (Sorry Jim)

Sweet, thank you Eddy. I chatted briefly with Lorelee, and she is all but of of them, so it will be a toughy to snag this winter. I owe ya.

I'll take first Loser over 3rd place any day. Brett, taking time off doesn't help it just moves you further down the list! Ian, well, no comment and Wizzy you can only aspire to join the club Scherber is doing his best to make sure that's the best you can only hope to do!

LOL tell me about it... I got passed up by a LOT of growers. I would have to say though that not being in the mix to win the past couple years has made for a lot more fun at the weighoffs. Wayyyy less stressful, especially in the week leading up to the weighoff.

Yes but Brett, how are you sleeping now? There's a big one coming down from the North with your name under it! Maybe you should just forget sleeping at this point!!!

I would imagine there is more than one that will bring down Pearl so I am not worried at all about winning as that is such a low probability. I am just worried about seeing her hit the scale as there is a high probability that she will get me back over 1000 pounds. Inconsistent watering up until the patch tour, not perfect pollination, no soil test, no fert program, and fear to push the plant too hard typically spells pumpkin weighing light. Pearl is a big girl, but got a feeling she isn't a thick skinned beast. According to measurements and progeny of the 2009 % to the chart, it could weight anywhere from 1462 up to 2064 so total crap shoot.
