I'll try this one more time now that everyone is getting into seed mode. I'm looking for a 1495 Stelts, and probably a long shot but I'm sure there's a few kicking around that growers are sitting on. I'm looking to grow it next year. It will see dirt.

I'm not looking for a freebie, I'll pay auction rates if you have one to spare. I'd like to make a nice old cross that hasn't been made that I can see in the seed directory. You can have a bunch of seeds from that cross as well.

Good luck getting it to germ! I had lots of trouble with mine this year it didn't want to germinate.

I had been happy with mine this year, seed without problems, germination without problems, plant growth without problems, pretty fruit, new PB.

That said, as soon as you know where to get some more 1495 seeds, please let me know ;-)

I grew a 1495 stelts last season, and successfully put it into tissue culture. Along with a 2009 Wallace that grew my 1659.5 pounder. As long a everything goes to plan I should have plenty of plants available from both genetics through micro propagation that will by grafted to a (1789 Wallace x 1985 miller) seedling. Shipping will be overnight to the US only. The bummer part is the genetics I failed to culture last season 2323 Meier, 1725 Harp, 1985 Miller, 2032 Mathison, 1730.5 Werner, 1625.5 Gantner, 1409.5 Miller, 1789 Wallace, 1623.5 Wallace, and 1813 Northrup. I would really like to preserve these genetics, so anyone growing these next season I would be very appreciative if they mailed me some trimmings from there plants during the growing season and I will pay all shipping costs. Anyone interested in 1495 stelts and 2009 Wallace plants or willing to mail me some cuttings next season contact me at daniel.gates84@hotmail.com

Thanks Mark. The 1689.5 Daletas '14 is a 1495 Stelts x Sib. I have that one if I need it, but wanted the real deal if available to cross with another great from a few years back.


I'll go with the 1689 if I have to. It's surprising that no one had grown that to the scale last year. Nothing listed.
