If you don't find one, my 1047.5 is a selfed 359.

Seeds from the same fruit can have different genetic makeup. Wouldn’t having a seed from a good plant(1047.5) selfed have as good or better chance of having the same or better genetic material as an original Foss 359? I have one Foss 359 left, but plan on selfing it next year to preserve the genetics.

Check out the 781 Engel 15. "THELMA" It is a the 1374 Engel 2014 (359 Foss 13 x 1048 Engel 12) x 359 Foss. I believe this will be a highly desired seed for Shape, Symmetry and Color. The 1143 Engel 2015 is the 359 Foss 2013 x 1374 Engel 14. Both were awesome pumpkins, I just could not get good weight gains this summer. Might be time to give the patch a rest for a year.

Linus, I rested the patch and it was a brutally long summer. I'd advise to avoid at all cost or at least grow a 150 on a temporary side bed while letting the main area recoup.

Oh no I would be growing at a satellite patch with Full Sun, Irrigation, Fertile Soil. Sun is my major issue right now

Linus's blood is orange and couldn't make through a year without growing a big orange pumpkin to hug everyday. Have a great 2016 to all orange growers.

That's good to hear Shannon. I especially like checking out the diary of the orange growers, such as yourself.

I could write a book on how to grow in shade. It's tough, except for those excruciatingly hot days in July.
