Hey Ben, hope you find a seed. I grew the 1401 a couple years ago but lost almost the entire plant to a late frost. (May 30)
I let it grow anyway but gave it very little attention and harvested it early. It still came in at almost 300 pounds and was a very nice orange.
Unfortunately, none of the seeds from it ever germinated.

Found one :) Thanks BPMailey! I'm planning on crossing it with the 901 Hunt. So it will hopefully be a great cross for big and HEAVY.

I see one of the Napa growers grew a 1655 pounder with the 1401 this year; weighed at Elk Grove.
