Hi there, I'm sitting here watching the snow come down. So what better to do than dream about the pumpkin patch we'll have this summer? :)
I grew my first Atlantic Giants last year. The biggest one was a whopping 96 lbs, but it was so fun. The best part was how the kids loved it and how the other exhibitors were so nice and welcoming to us at the fair!
Last year, we just got our seed from a catalog, and the guys at the fair told us we need to get ourselves some proven seed to grow a real big one. My goal this year is 300 lbs, I've read a lot of books this winter and definitely caught the bug. Could we grow one up to 500lbs or more??? :) I know it all depends on lots of things, but it's fun to dream!
If anyone would like to share seeds, please let me know! Everybody stay safe in this blizzard.
Cheers, Heather

Welcome its a lot of fun. But I think you'll be disappointed With a little reading. It will hard to grow a 300 pounder They'll past that up really fast. :)

If you need some seeds email me, laginess1968@yahoo.com I can get you some from my 640 with 1303 sweet x self genetics. It was a very easy seed to grow even during the bad summer we had last year.

Thanks to everybody that responded! Now I'll have more than enough seed to get the kids and I started. It is so wonderful to have such a welcoming community of people in this hobby! Good luck to everyone this season. May you all grow a personal best. :)
PS. We got about 20" of snow out here in Western MA. A lot of snow, but it didn't cause too much trouble. I hope everybody else is doing well!
