If you want cabbage with a head, look for o.s. cross or megaton. I have both and the os cross have always split on me when they get close to harvest time. Maybe I need to water more consistently.The heads I have grown were around 14 pounds with both of these varieties.
Do a google search and you should find seeds to buy.
I think that the kind that they grow the ones over 100 pounds do not get heads, but not certain on that.

The variety you want is Cornish Giant also called Flat Pol sometimes.

We've tried most varieties & Cornish Giants have always worked the best for us. We get ours from the UK.

It is not as easy as it sounds.. A lot of the Giant Veggie Seeds you have obtain through the growers. P and P has some from the 125lber.
