I'm not a cheapskate by any way, shape,or form,so please dont takes this wrong.Postage to send a bubble is now 5 forever stanps instead of four stamps. Please make a note of this, its a 1.95 to send a bubble now.It may pay to drive to the post office & get exact postage on bubbs. Thanks! The town crier!lol

Handy, I had them put $2 on the bubble I sent you, just to make sure there was enough. Thanks again, Bryan

I don't understand the postal rates sometimes. This year I sent out bubbles and the auto machine said it would take 3 stamps. I got the bubble back from the grower and they had put an extra stamp on it. I then put the same bubble on the same machine(just to check it) and it still said only 3 stamps! I don't get it,but I'm sorry for those who had to put an extra stamp on my bubbles. It was an honest mistake.

Ummm, maybe talking about me?? I apologize for my mistake. I only sent out 3 bubbles this year for seed request. And I only put 4 stamps on each bubble. Sorry to those 3 I sent request to, I'll make it up to you next year. I have 10 bubbles to fill for others and it looks like I'll be adding postage to all of them. I have 5 bubbles with 3 stamps, 2 with 4 stamps, 2 with 2 stamps and one with a single forever stamp. So I'll be buying about 22 stamps when I send them out. Next year I will inform people of postage cost when they request my address.

A lot of it depends on your postal worker. If I take a bubble to The post office where I live, they put $.90 postage on it, and it's gone. I know other places do it different. It would be a lot easier if they all were on the same page.

I've never really worried about it because I don't get swamped ( I wish I was that good.) I've had 8 requests for my seeds this year from U.S. & Canada & I always just take care of things on my end. The way I look at it until I reach the 50+ mark on requests I'm not losing out that much.

And for some reason it's cheaper to mail to Canada. A bubble in the U.S. $1.95-- A bubble going to most points in Canada $1.10..go figure

That's why I've told the 3 Canadian growers who wanted my seeds & volunteer to send a bubble to me to not waste their time or money sending it. It only cost me a little over a dollar to send across the border so why have them spend over $2 to send me a empty one. Didn't make sense so I just handle it on this end.

Mine have all been $1.95 lately. It is the thickness of the envelope that is costing us - the post office runs my bubbles through a cardboard gauge to check to see if they can charge the higher price.
Has anyone ever seen a seed that has been broken during shipping? - it seems like thinner bubbles would save everyone some money.

I am not complaining about the postage.I always put $2,50 canadien in cash in the bubble. That is a good price for good seeds for me anyway.Very glad for the seeds i have got so far. Thanks to everybody! BOSSEN. PS.No broken seeds so far.

Yes it depends on the postal worker. There is one at my post office that always does them at $0.90 and all the rest always do $1.95.

Pumpkin Bell -- that is for the Envelope -- and thickness must be under 3/4 inches or they charge the Package rates instead which is $1.95 for up to 3 ounces. Since anything over 3\4 inches has to be sorted by hand instead of run through the machine (which is probably safer on the seeds anyway ! )

When I sent out packets in the US, I took them to the Post Office and they all cost $1.95. I didn't pay attention to what it cost to send to Canada or overseas, I just wrote a check.

I wasnt singling out anybody just trying to create an awareness.one bubb I had since November .they couldnt have known about the increase in postage. The difference you folks are paying is .If you pay less than a 1.95 its going threw a roller system that can damage a seed. For a 1.95 its hand sorted.I have shipped & received damaged seeds. If its stamped Fragile it cost more. Some postal workers are happy go lucky, they say Oh it will be fine, its just a seed.lol.So you get the 1.10 rate.So its your choice, depending on how precious the seed is.I sent the 255s with confirmations that cost .80 cents more, but I feel better that the seed will get there.Dont send me no money folks,Im good it was only 1.85 or so on 4 bubbs.just trying to edumacate everyone on the increase & how it works,The increase is a federal one we all pay the same rate in the U.S.

Most bubbles don't go over 3/4 inch thick some do and then you would need to pay for the packets cost.
