not sure how many of you save seeds from things other than your competition fruits, but i have seeds saved from mainly open or "heirloom" fruits. let me know if you want seeds from a 48# neck pumpkin, birdhouse gourd, marigolds, butternut squash(i know they throw true butternuts), black oil sunflowers, and big sunflowers. I also have plenty of open pollinated AG seeds that could be used by anyone wanting to try their hand at germinating ahead of time. Controlled pollinations on field pumpkins are also available-- 63Lorson2010--62LovelaceXsib--grew a couple over 70 this year 53 Lorson 2010-120 McInnis X 142 McInnis

by the way, a neck pumpkin is like an oversized butternut squash. pics in my diary
http://bigpumpkins.com/Diary/DiaryViewOne.asp?eid=171159 pretty popular here for an eating squash-makes excellent pies--also called Pennsylvania Dutch Crookneck. they are very "efficient" to use--the whole shaft is flesh, so the only so-called wasted space is in the seed cavity, which is less than a quarter of the size of the fruit usually. lots of seeds available for the asking.
