You can also check this seed exchange post in the fall after the weigh offs and after everyone has dried there seeds, they will post free seed offers, you just send them a sasbe (self addressed bubble envelope) and they fill it and send you the seeds, alot of growers will offer.

Considering the benefits costing about the price of a case of beer for a membership, I would join a club and get some really good, proven seeds. Plus a lot of growing help from club members geared to your neck of the woods.
Or wait for late fall and get a lot of seeds for the price of postage and SASBs.

VT, a little confused, which is sorta normal...you posted, "I would join a club and get some really good, proven seeds"? Most clubs offer up for the price of club membership...seeds grown this year.(Not proven) In no way am I trying to chase anyone away from joining a club, it is the way to go, to learn to GROW!! Just thought yer lead in is a little misleading? Maybe you meant proven crosses? Peace, Wayne

Wayne, what I meant to say was seeds with good/great genetics.
I had a pumpkin go down on me last night, and I was a little grief-stricken and incoherent.
Thanks for clarifying things.

You nailed it, it does 2X benefits...helps new growers get top notch seeds...helps clubs w/ $'s needed to continue to help awl grow Slungers!!!! Peace, Wayne
