did the 1610 have a low seed count?,, the 1610 seems like a hard seed to get, and I didnt see very many at the auctions this year, I know I tried getting one myself with no luck. I bet that seed is going to be grown by alot of growers this year, the 1610 sure did have a great color and a amazing shape for how big it was.

WHAT??? Brooks, are you slipping? Mr. Intheknow is just now finding out about the 1610 and it's low seed count? Just kidding Brooks, I'm just remembering how you called out the 1421.5 Stelts last year before anyone was really even looking at it.

Wayne, the 1197.6 Matesa is a nice looking round pumpkin, just not orange. Also, the 603 Muller would be a good cross to put into the 1610. If you do get a 1610, I would like to trade seeds at the end of this year. I am growing a 1610 this year.

The 1197.6 Matesa was a great grower at only 84 days old. It still had lots of growth left in her when I cut it off the vine. You can seee a picture of it here,

Well... massive is how it looked!!! LOL and tall and round and bright shiny, pkn orange lookin!!!!!!! 1161 Rodonis x self was the cross!!! John D...the pic leads me to believe it might have turned out more orange...if like you said it was picked early...you think the orange would have improved w/ more days on the vine?

wayne, i took a couple of photo's of the 1610 at the weigh off. it won the howard dill award, and it was very orange ,perfect shape! there is a couple picks that i took in my diary, have more if you need them, scott

Marley, I'll take 10!!! LOL Just kiddin!!! I actually have two in my lil seed book now!!! Both sent from folks, who told me "what goes around, comes around"...a Karma thing, I think? I am sure that the KGPG,(formerly the KPM) would like to have one or two for their auction next year...cause I think that the value is gonna go UP!!! THANKS WAYNE, same here , i,m growing the 1610 also, and have another for back up, just cant wait till spring, bought 300# of alfalfa pellets today and need to get them in the gardens, should of did it in the fall,, woops!, scott
