It's never to early to start sandbagging, weather has been abysmal. Constant rain and clouds, this week it is going to get even better with cooler temps moving in. The growers who are pushing their plants with lights and heat are pretty smart. They can provide what mother nature doesn't. Here is what's in the ground; 273 Williiams CC, 198 Ciesielski JBD, 232 Williams JBD, 172 Ciesielski (A Descendent of Chris Kent's original 302 CC that he back crossed to a CCx Jbd) And lastly i have a couple of f2 hybrid melons that I am growing for Lloyd Bright. He crossed a 341.5 Vial with a very old Tom Watson seed from the 90's. I have both a tan seeded strain and a white seeded strain) I am also growing three 56.2 English Giant cantaloupes. 370 English Bushel gourd. a Genetics Squash patch in which I am growing 25 1203 Mace plants which are a blend of 2365 Wolf AG and 1109 Jutras Squash. Only the squash will be kept and bred.
I am taking the year off from competitive AG's and two of my son's will be growing in my stead.
