Day 40 Pumpkin (Plant Overview) (F: 2287 Sadiq ’22 x M: 2365 Wolf ’21 (from Ron Wallace))

At this point in the season dealing only with the minimal marginal leaf burn seems to be the only issue with the plant. The green color is consistent and is the “correct” color green. It is not deep green nor is it faint, so with the slight margin leaf burn the feeding is near ideal. Plant has maximized its growing space so plant health is important from here on.

Now, the pumpkin looks bigger than it actually is, due to how I set-up the fan and white sheet. (See next post for further details on this process.) There is a white pail that has some play sand in it to help have some near by as the pumpkin has grown over the first plywood base and is now on the second so to ensure no sharp spots a few handfuls of sand can be added to ensure a smooth transition.
