4.42 lbs off the 7.88 Butler I believe. Had to cut it in half to weigh it on my kilo scale. This was the best of my 2nd round tomatoes, so this was a first truss blossom. Not a terrible result but if I took better plant care of the plant early on it might have weighed in the 6-7 range.
I'd say with tomatoes that 2/3 of any success happens prior to pollination. I'd say you really have to set yourself up for success prior to and during the flowering phase. Then the last 1/3 of any success is the relatively easy part... basically you spend a just a month watching it grow plus some minimal efforts to avoid BER or early ripening, or rot. (Keep things from getting to hot, too dry, or too wet.) There's not much to it.
