Just wanted to show my rickety tomato hut which worked so well. Only space for four plants really (and I crammed in 6).
The "20% shade cloth" is just some plastic fencing I pulled out of the garbage. Anyhow, unless your neighbors are going to complain, things dont need to be fancy. This setup is better and cheaper than anything else I can imagine.
...The 2 pieces of pvc, and the 6 mil plastic, was salvaged years ago from a nursery that went out of business and I am still getting use out of it.
I finally settled on victor type mole traps as being the best clamps for securing the plastic to the pvc.
