							| RIP Geoff Clayton.
^ My dad, who knew me better than I knew myself, at least for the first 20 years of my life or so. He took me to see some giant pumpkins at Geneva Emmons' place when I was a youth. Of course she had something special going there, but all I had was a snide teenage attitude of: "K, whatever... Know I cant do that." I didnt bother to ask for seeds or advice or anything, it was just straight out, "I know I cant do that."

My oldest kids are nearing that age. And I AM growing a Geneva sized pumpkin this year, and I'd say this to my kids: You can also do much more.

Presumably, I know them as well as my dad knew me... While I don't appreciate my dads effirts to change me... I do appreciate the fact that he understood some good things about me and my potential.

Thanks for being so smart, dad!
