I got the trailer of chicken manure spread. It rakes into grass very well and thus its possible to add organics to fallow areas without killing the groundcover. Not sure if it will make much difference. I can tell its too hot with nutrients right now. The winter tomatoes look good. Getting some nutrient lock out from excess organics maybe. The roots are already out to the walls of the tub. The plants are 5 inches but the roots are twice that. I can see the 20 gallon tub would be correctly sized. 8 gallons will grow a tomato but I think to get over two pounds I need more root space.
