I think my melon season may very well be over. July 29th in my diary you can see the plants are near perfect condition bright green disease free and recovering a bit still from the 19th hail storm. The 29th I noticed spots, very small brownish spots on the melon leaves. This morning all the leaves are covered with bigger spots nearly covering thee entire leaf. Tearing the leaves apart there is no stickiness or gumminess. Vines look good so far, melons are putting on weight still but the leaves are going to toast very rapidly. Smaller leaves completely blackened. Microstroma Juglandis is my guess. Fiona was growing at an incredible rate as well as Mrs. Puff and Mr. Hankey. Such a shame.
