Update on my dad: they did a cardio-MRI today on him and in 4 weeks they have schedualed surgery to implant a defibrillator (basically a pacemaker on steroids) into his chest - in case his heart stops and needs to be re-started.
They are also increasing his meds and he needs to go to the hospital every 2 weeks until further notice for checkups. With any luck he will be put onto the transplant list.
