Competition tomatoes planted. Here is one of my Zachearts - beautiful plant so far.
All tomato plants were intentionally grown leggy (to provide a long stem where many roots can form when trenched) and burried up the the top node or 2. All other branches were removed and soil was treated with root shield to prevent disease.
My hope is the extra rooting provided through drenching my plants and working for the past few weeks to get my soil where I want it can land me a 5lb tomato.
Who knows... never grown one before.
