Here is what I did to get such a fast germination. Here we have my 6 seeds. They are just resting below the surface of soil that has been heated to a constant 87° F. (Don't worry the genetics of the seeds has been written on the seed coat in Sharpie).
For me I've always had trouble starting seeds using the paper towel method, and thanks to some ideas shared between some Utah growers have developed this idea to get a seed to germinate in such a way you can directly plant germinated seed into their final growing containers, no need for any stressful transplants. Was waiting to post this strategy in fear it would fail but so far everything looks to be going great!
