I am just stepping back for a moment to March 7th, when I was so warmly handed by a very rude FVPD associate (which I will not reveal her name)that the higher ups changed the community garden plot rules. So, just to be fair, I have been revisiting the Oakhurst Community Garden Plots. In the interest of maintaining the required new fencing guidelines, our plots and only our plots were marked as in violation for the silt "fence" even though it was being used as a wind break in an open area. Ahead, I will share the very interesting photos of other garden plots, where in fact, green and orange plastic fencing materials have been erected and stakes with tree branches provide a "vertically plumb and upright" presentation. This garden plot program has been around for 20+ years and still remains in the primal stages compared to neighboring park districts. Hang tight for upcoming photos!
