Today, I transplanted (L2R) Arugula, Butter Crunch Lettuce, Spinach, Swiss Chard, Spanish Onions Arugula, Green Leaf Lettuce, Spinach, Butter Crunch Lettuce and Swiss Chard. In the next row between the wood stakes, I planted Heirloom Sugar Daddy Peas. Next to the peas, I transplanted Curly Kale, Vates Collards between the two Kale and French Dressing Radishes to the either sides of the Kale. This planter has layers of garden soil, composted aged horse manure, raw kitchen scraps (no dairy, citrus or meat), shredded b/w newspaper, shredded card board, over wintered 22 gallon totes of decomposed giant pumpkin, squash and kitchen scraps and 1 1/2 c. Burpee Organics Tomato and Vegetable Granular Slow release fertilizer. The fertilizer was worked into the soil prior to planting and watering the soil surface. Temperature outside is 67 degrees F, winds are light at 1 mph from the north, mostly cloudy, RH 71%, BP 30", visibility is 9 miles, Dew point Temp is 57 degrees F, sunrise at 6:06 am and sunset at 7:38 pm. Planting is very early considering page 248 of the 2017 Old Farmer's Almanac by the moon's phase for my area (3), so I will be closely watching these transplants. I have backups since this is my first time. I am expecting the temperature in the raised beds to be higher than when planted in level ground.
