Today, I also planted determinant San Marzano tomatoes. These will not vine and are typically more compact. Fruits are typically produced within the center of the plant. I have experienced some disease resistance, reduced watering and very high yields; however, drip irrigation is required as well as keeping a watchful eye on the green horn-worm! I repeated the same planting method used for the first tomatoes with the exception of adding clear plastic wrap to retain moisture. These should be up in 7-10 days along with the first tomato tray.
