well, our season has come to a close;
i took these photo's early, before we all got too busy.we had a very successful competition, and a few new growers achieved pb's.my good friend dale oliver won again this year, but i'm getting closer.so i will just have to try harder next season;
dale's pumpkin weighed;-674-kgs/ 1488-lbs;
i came second with ; -595-kgs/ 1313-lbs;
so overall, i am very happy with the results. a personal best for me by a long way. my best before was 720-lbs;
the watermelons also went very well for us. our winner was
181-lbs which was also a pb for the grower.
i would like to thank all the great people on big pumpkins .com, for all there help with some excellent seeds and advice, which was greatly appreciated by all of our members. it is good to have our seasons at different times so we can learn all we can from seeing how you guy's grow.
we are already looking forward to next season;
