The glass is in the roof and they are working on the sides on the Pumpkin house. We want to put in 50cm of growing media and the bulk of it will come from the first glasshouse that's coming down. As we used to grow cut flowers in the ground, the soil is very good but we will still need to put in a lot of peat to get it where we would like it. We have been looking for a very young peat that really aerates the soil and we will take that one step further by using "peat fractions". Basically most peat is just shredded in the field and then hovered up. To make peat fractions they cut the peat into blocks and dry them before gently braking them up. They then grade them and we want the coarsest one to keep the soil structure as open as possible.
