Started my lineup for this year. Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Pennsylvania state record seeds. Hopefully they will pop in few days and not like my trail run few weeks ago, 0 for 5. Didn't do anything different than other years but never had problems before.

My lineup of four seeds came up and looking good. I transferred them into larger pots now, and hopefully some warm days and nights to warm up the soil. Was only thinking about planting 2 plants this year but may do three. Four was pushing it last year with all being 150 sq foot plants. Made the plot bigger and will choose my best two or three plants since all came from great genetics.

I might have killed or hurt half of my plants. My watering meter system got me. The dail on fertilizer and magnesium got moved to 80 percent and it put over 1 lbs of 42 urea and one lb of Epson salt on two of my plants. About 1/4 of leaves look like end of season brown and crunchy. I gave them a good dose of water trying to water it down. Fingers cross they will pull through.

Mother nature hasn't been good toe this year. The cold, drought and then last night storms with hail taking care of most leaves.

End of next week, I should be able pollinate two of my plants. Will be 15 feet long with 22 secondaries. I got my eye on one one each plant and started the S turn in my vine.

Not my main choice but seems to be growing fast at DAP 8. I like the shape of my other one 7 feet down and great position, but slow growing. Going if them both a week more to see who is getting culled. My other pumpkin vine has a 6 inch slit plus stem also. My 2350.5 Dogg is very slow growing. Hate to pick it since only had only 2 females on the main and I terminated it at 23 feet. It just wants to produce males.

Out of my three plants, got one pumpkin doing great. At DAP at 12, it measures out to 37 lbs now. My other 3 pumpkins, not growing very fast. I have to cull one. Still waiting to see who going to become a good leader. So far like the shape on my smaller one but not the position and the other is great position, smaller and growing much slower but another 4 feet out on main.
