In keeping with the recent international trend to promote the Atlantic Giant Pumpkin as an indoor plant, I have started 2- 1291.5 Pantano19 (1613 McCracken x 1501 Wagner) seeds. The plan is up the adjoining curtain pull, along the curtain rod to the chain for the drop lamp, back to the curtain rod and onto the corner cabinet. Let’s count the flowers along the way!

9 weeks and 9 feet up the curtain pull, across the curtain rod, now along a rope guide to the hanging lamp. Multiple small flower buds. Growing Giant American Pumpkin vines as a house plant has merit and should be adopted as an international winter-early spring sport. Awesome flowers surrounding the window frame. Why not?

12’ -on to and well past the hanging lamp, on the way back to the curtain rod and finally, on to the corner cupboard! Never actually achieved corner cupboard, but this may be the year. Hmmmm – that’s a rather common, but seemingly never realized expectation of the sport. Also - TIME TO START THE SEEDS! YAHOO!!! I think I'm gonna skip the heating cables this year, never convinced they made a difference in the heated portable greenhouse. Simplification - yes - that may be the answer.
